Our client, one of the largest seafood harvesting, processing, and distribution companies on the eastern seaboard, currently has an opening available for an Inventory and Production Processing Clerk in their Cape May facility.

The Inventory and Production Processing Clerk supports both inventory control and production operations by tracking materials, processing inventory transactions, coordinating production orders, and maintaining accurate record-keeping. This individual hired for this position is essential to ensure smooth supply chain and manufacturing processes at their facility.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Receive, verify, and document incoming raw materials and supplies.

Issue materials to production work orders and track consumption.

Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or inventory management systems.

Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.

Assist in scheduling and coordinating production activities and order processing.

Reconcile production output with system data and report variances.

Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating and correcting variances.

Ensure all materials and products are properly labeled and stored.

Work with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams to ensure smooth operations.

Exceed safety and quality standards are met.

Skills Required:

Proficiency with ERP or warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Strong organizational and data entry skills.

Basic math skills and knowledge of production workflows.

Ability to lift and move products/materials (up to 50 lbs) as needed.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.

1–2 years of experience in inventory control, production, or warehouse environments.
