ASSEMBLY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Contract to Hire
2nd shift/$28-30/hr.
Rochester Hills, MI
PURPOSE
To support and maintain the Assembly Department for automotive components and assemblies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct regular maintenance tasks, identify and diagnose equipment problems, and implement preventive maintenance measures according to schedule
Maintain a safe work environment (Ensure compliance with MIOSHA regulations)
Preform daily safety walks
Mechanical Safety
Support all assembly production activities
Preform job duties as assigned by Assembly Supervisor
Maintain department equipment and tools
Work with other departments in times of need
Reports to the Supervisor results or issues of repairs or changes
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Provide technical support to production staff and other maintenance personnel
Fabricate fixtures, stands, racks, tables, etc. from blueprints, sketches, or verbal line up
Lock Out/Tag out machinery when necessary
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent or higher education
3+ years of related experience in manufacturing maintenance field
Automotive Sector –Production Facilities
Ability to operate and inspect overhead crane
Ability to operate and inspect motorized material handling devices
Ability to read blueprints / Electrical Schematics and machine diagnostics
Ability to trouble shoot pneumatics
Able to understand basic scanning procedures
Able to work overtime and weekends as needed based on business needs / Flexible to support other shifts as needed
Electromechanical certification is a plus
Maintain ongoing education regarding new technology
Proficient in Microsoft applications (excel / outlook)
Fanuc handling tool operations and programming (a plus)
PLC Trouble shooting (a plus)
Vision system trouble shooting (a plus)
Familiar with Keyance IV vision software (a plus)
Keyance marking builder 2 & 3 software (a plus)
Keyance XG / CV vision software (a plus)
Machining experience is a plus (a plus)
Able to work Independently as well as with a team
Ability to lift and carry weights greater than 35lbs
Must be able to stand for long hours
OSHA 10 hour general industry outreach program
