Job Description
Qualifications:
Age 18+
Fresh meat cutting experience is preferred
Ability to stand for long periods of time while in a cooled environment
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Speak, read, write, and understand English
Responsibilities:
Cutting all varieties and cuts of meat (beef, pork, oxtail), with knives or band saw
Detailed work including trimming fat, breaking down large pieces into steaks, loins, chops, etc.
Assist with grinding meat, and patty/sausage/formed product production
Assist with clerking (customer service and cashiering) responsibilities during times of high customer traffic or to meet hours requirements
Following safety guidelines for food handling, personal hygiene, and operating equipment and tools
Other duties as assigned
Scheduling:
Part Time with potential to be Full time (40+ hours/ week)
Tentative schedule:
Wednesdays 6:30 am - 2 pm (prep and production)
Thursdays 6 am - 3:30 pm
Fridays & Saturdays start at 7 am and end sometime between 6 pm - 8:30 pm
Saturday availability/flexibility required
New Castle Farmer's Market operating hours: Thursdays 9 am - 3 pm, Fridays - Saturdays 9 am - 8 pm
