DRAFTSPERSON

Arriscraft, a General Shale Brick, Inc. company, is seeking a Drafter for our facility in Fort Valley, GA. A successful candidate will use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create technical drawings of Cast Stone on buildings, typically from sketches or designs provided by architects. They are responsible for translating architectural designs into Cast Stone detail drawings that will be used to produce Cast Stone units. The Drafter will work closely with estimating, mold making, and production department within our facility.

Drafter Primary Responsibilities

Thoroughly review project documents, including architectural plans, and specifications.

Collaborate with estimating team and clients to clarify project details and address questions regarding Cast Stone designs.

Serve as the point of contact for customer correspondence regarding projects and design aspects, and contact customers as needed for additional information.

Keep organized records for all design projects in files and computer form.

Maintain drafting schedule logs.

Produce detailed drawings using AutoCAD software.

Update designs and check accuracy.

Drafter Experience & Skills

2 years of experience as a construction or manufacturing drafter preferred.

Proficiency in using AutoCAD is required.

Exceptional drafting skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Must be computer literate: Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Must have the ability to interpret complex architectural plans.

Understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.

Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Must have the ability to work independently, multitask and prioritize.
