The IT Audio Video Engineer is responsible for providing day to day technical support and troubleshooting, engineering information, and assistance for Rosendin internal conference rooms, huddle rooms, training rooms, and other Audio Visual systems, as part of the Network Engineering Team. Additionally, the IT Audio Video Engineer is responsible for cost estimates, engineering, procurement, configuration, commissioning, and management of new internal company conference room installs and upgrades nationwide.WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Provide IT 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tier remote technical support and troubleshooting to local IT teams and internal end users for various conference, huddle, and training rooms nationwide, including control panels, mics, speakers, audio and video issues, cameras, codec endpoints.
Provide advanced technical support both remote and on-site for complex room and systems issues.
Provide cost estimates for deployment of new rooms as well as existing room upgrades.
Use company standards to develop systems for each room based on the requirements of that office.
Generate design and install documentation as required. Develop network requirements needed by the network infrastructure team to deploy Audio Visual equipment.
Provide project oversight and management for installs and upgrades at various locations. This includes coordination between internal or external architectural, structural, mechanical, telecom, and electrical trades.
Coordination of AV install using local or traveling install teams and verification of the quality of the install.
Perform system commissioning, including device configuration, room setup in Crestron VC-4, QSC core and DSP configuration and deployment, Liberty DigitalLinkIP, Cisco Codec endpoint configuration, and room audio tuning.
Perform physical installations and connectivity, and advise internal or external trades of installation requirements and construction and build details.
Help guide future company room standards and roadmaps as technology evolves, minimizing impact on existing environments and maintaining as much consistency as possible.
Development, deployment, and management of a digital signage solution for company communications and marketing.
Work with other IT teams and overall technology teams on improvements in how technology can provide better collaboration and communication within Rosendin.
The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position's role within the business unit.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Knowledge of all aspects of Audio Video systems engineering is a must including but not limited to audio conferencing solutions, audio DSPs, AVoIP, control systems, digital signage, projection systems, and more.
Strong working knowledge and experience with deployment, commissioning, and troubleshooting Crestron control systems.
Ability to write, review, and debug C# code using the Crestron API as well as QSys LUA is preferred.
Experience with a Crestron VC-4 environment.
Experience with Crestron Fusion.
Strong working knowledge with QSC audio processors including design creation, deployment, and management.
Strong working knowledge of general Video over IP products and technologies.
Experience in configuring and operating Liberty DigitaLinxIP solutions.
Strong working knowledge in audio mic solutions such as Shure, Sennheiser.
Strong experience with audio over IP protocols including Q-LAN and Dante.
Strong working knowledge of Cisco Webex based collaboration solutions.
Experience in other collaboration endpoint solutions.
Working knowledge of Cisco Webex and Webex Control Hub.
Working knowledge of other meeting solutions including MS Teams, Zoom, and others as needed.
Strong knowledge of networking requirements necessary for audio visual deployments including but not limited to PTP, IGMP, Multicast, QoS, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, L2 and L3 routing.
Experience with Linux for reviewing logs, software updates, and basic troubleshooting.
Experience in O365 integrations and conference room resources in O365 and Exchange.
Ability to provide accurate cost estimates including hardware and labor.
Ability to create engineering documents required for design verification and install.
Experience in Accubid and Bluebeam preferred.
General understanding of the procurement of Audio Visual equipment from various manufactures and distributors.
Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
Bachelor's degree in Audio visual technology or related fields.
InfoComm CTS required, CTS-D preferred.
Crestron programming certification preferred.
Q-Sys certification strongly recommended.
Dante certification strongly recommended.
Minimum 5-7 years experience as an Audio Video Systems Engineer is required
Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experienceTRAVEL:

General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

Pay Range $124,800.00-$163,700.00 Annual
