GENERAL SUMMARY

The Senior Reliability Lab Technician works with Reliability Process Engineers to develop and maintain REL-LAB & ESS (environmental stress services) equipment and processes. They recognize and utilize prescribed techniques to solve problems, while recommending and executing enhancements to product and process flows.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*

Supports Reliability Engineers in establishing efficient, cost-effective processes based on product needs and customer requirements.

Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs Reliability equipment.

Uses digital multimeter and oscilloscope to test components

Performs calibration and preventive maintenance of tools.

Executes design of experiments (DOE), gathering data for analysis under the direction of Reliability Engineers

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment.

Maintains supplier list for materials and hardware.

Coordinates the disposal of used chemicals with the safety department.

Performs other related duties, on occasion, as assigned.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline

Minimum 5 years of related electronic/semiconductor assembly experience.

Ability to set up and operate equipment and develop process programs.

Able to utilize hand tools such as allen wrenches, screw drivers, and pliers.

Solid understanding of work environment issues (OSHA regulations, etc.).

Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Familiarity with MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001 and EIA/JEDEC and standards.

Skills:

Ability to work within a team, in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Strong verbal and written communications.

Basic computer skills with an understanding of the Microsoft Office® software suite.

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Strong attention to detail.

Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) required.
