Job Summary

- The Team Leader performs tests in a specific department of the laboratory. The primary responsibilities of the Team Leader are to supervise the technical and personnel aspects of a specific department, such as test performance, procedure quality, instrument performance, daily activities of patient testing, employee evaluations and competency. He she will assist with troubleshooting instrument and procedure problems, maintaining quality control and student instruction as well as performing routine and special procedures in the department. He she also interprets and reports results to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements

- ASCP certification

- Prior laboratory experience and knowledge, including microbiology and supervisory
