Job Overview:
We are seeking a Data Integration Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data integration solutions within our Medicaid and healthcare IT environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless data exchange across systems, improving interoperability, and supporting analytics and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with data integration technologies, ETL processes, APIs, and cloud-based solutions, with a strong understanding of Medicaid data structures and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will contribute to large-scale implementation projects—either directly leading the integration of technology platforms or supporting the project through oversight and governance in a PMO capacity.
Responsibilities:
Data Integration Strategy & Architecture:
Develop and implement enterprise-level data integration strategies to ensure efficient data flow across Medicaid and healthcare systems
Design and oversee the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, API frameworks, and data pipelines that enable real-time and batch data exchange
Define data architecture principles, standards, and best practices for system interoperability and scalability
Implementation & Oversight:
Lead data integration efforts for system modernization, ensuring compatibility with Medicaid Enterprise Systems and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FHIR, etc.)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align integration solutions with business needs and technical requirements
Provide technical oversight and governance in a PMO capacity, ensuring data-related project deliverables meet security, performance, and compliance standards
Evaluate and optimize existing data integration processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability
Technical Leadership & Innovation:
Stay current with emerging data integration technologies, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), middleware solutions, and AI-driven automation
Recommend and implement modern data integration tools, such as API gateways, streaming platforms, and master data management (MDM) systems
Define data governance frameworks, ensuring high data quality, security, and compliance across integrated platforms
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with business and IT leaders to identify data integration needs and drive alignment between enterprise architecture and operational goals
Work closely with state agencies, healthcare providers, and technology vendors to enhance data-sharing capabilities
Mentor and support internal teams in data integration best practices and troubleshooting methodologies
Qualifications:
Governmental Social Services Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience with Title IV-A (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) and/or Title IV-D (Child Support Enforcement) programs
Electronic Document Management Experience: At least two (2) years of experience managing electronic document management services
Project Management Experience: Proven experience managing large-scale projects, including cross-functional teams and complex operational processes
Education and Leadership: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification: PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or an equivalent project management certification
Agile or Lean Six Sigma Certification: Certifications in Agile project management or Lean Six Sigma methodologies are a plus, demonstrating the ability to streamline processes and drive efficiency
