Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Video Editor works within the Menards Media Production team to edit video and audio for Menards TV and radio commercials; along with other media production projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Pre and post production of all TV and radio commercials, and in-house video/audio projects (editing, scripting, product research, coordination with videographers, vendors and merchandising staff)

+ Non-linear video and audio editing

+ Creation of motion graphics

+ Product research, script writing, storyboarding

+ Recording of voice-over audio in the studio

+ Manage approval workflows and make necessary changes

+ Export video and audio files for distribution

+ Collaborate with videography team members, and other Communications and merchandising teams

Skills/Requirements

Skills/Requirements

+ Associate or Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication, Advertising or Communications; an emphasis in Videography, Broadcast or Electronic Media is recommended; or equivalent work experience.

+ Minimum of 1 year professional video editing experience (preferably Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere, After Effects, and Audition)

+ Digital audio editing professional experience

+ Experience creating titles, motion graphics, and animations

+ Strong knowledge of color correction and color grading techniques

+ Chroma-key, masking, and rotoscoping experience

+ Photo editing and retouching experience helpful

+ Thorough understanding of video formats and codecs for broadcast TV and the Web

+ Strong working knowledge of:

+ Adobe Premiere, Audition, After Effects

+ Microsoft Office

+ Must be hardworking; a self-motivator

+ Must be accurate and have a good eye for details

+ Advertising copywriting experience desired

+ Good communication and organization skills required

+ Must be CREATIVE!

+ Must work within designated normal office hours - Monday-Friday, 40-45 hours/week 45+ when projects dictate - at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI (remote work is not offered)
