Job Type: Hybrid
Responsibilities
Utilize structural analysis software and tools to create detailed structural designs and calculations
Produce structural general arrangement drawings (steel and concrete), mechanical general arrangement drawings, and process flow diagrams
Produce drawings as built during project close out
Collaborate with external design experts
Assist in the estimating process
Ensure designs comply with all design and local codes
Education
BS in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university (required)
MS in Engineering Discipline (desired)
Experience
5+ years structural engineering and design in a heavy industrial setting (required), preferably mining (desired)
Experience with permitting, construction methods, and materials (highly desired)
Field experience with retrofit and construction support (highly desired)
Experience with site grading and drainage design (highly desired)
Surveying and drone piloting (desired)
CAD and Autodesk (required)
Structural analysis software (highly desired)
Qualifications
Ability to perform all phases of structural engineering tasks: investigation, inspection, modeling, analysis, design of steel and concrete structures (required)
Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as in a team (required)
Licensing
PE or EIT (desired)
