Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing of 400+ employees.
Audit new hire documents for accuracy and completeness.
Create and provide manual timesheets to newly hires hourly employees for the first pay period.
Review hourly employee timesheets in ADP WFN. Email EEs manager to get all timesheets completed and approved by payroll deadline.
Process and audit data entry of stock exercises, commission and bonus payments
Ensure accurate and timely semi-monthly payroll process by assisting the payroll Director with auditing ADP preview reports.
Audit payroll reports after ADP has processed payroll.
Update each payroll withholding taxes on quarterly tax excel worksheet for reconciliation purposes.
Identifies, solves and works with ADP HR to resolve technical or operational payroll, tax or system related issues promptly
Continuously identifies and develop solutions to drive process efficiency
Maintain employee payroll files and provide timely responses to payroll inquiries.
Assist with special projects related to the payroll function.
Researching and preparing special ADP reports for management
REQUIREMENTS:
ADP Workforce Now knowledge is a plus
A minimum of 4+ years’ practical work experience in payroll is required.
Knowledge and skills:
Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP Enterprise eTime or similar payroll platform.
Understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Ability to understand issues, demonstrate resourcefulness and pro-actively resolve problems and manage multiple projects in a timely manner.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner.
Solid organizational skills: task prioritization and effective time management.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written verbal.
Mid- to advanced PC skills using Outlook, Word, Excel (ability to perform pivots, V-lookups and other functions with Excel).
