Job Title: Finisher (Machine Operator)
Job Description
Join our team as a Finisher (Machine Operator) on the 1st shift, working from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. This role requires skills in drill and tap, and proficiency in measuring with calipers. Experience with micrometers is advantageous but not necessary. Responsibilities include painting products prior to shipping, conducting quality checks with strong attention to detail, and performing production tasks based on process sheets, blueprints, or supervisor instructions.
Responsibilities
Paint products before shipping.
Conduct quality checks on outgoing products.
Follow process sheets, blueprints, or supervisor instructions to perform production tasks.
Manually or using a crane, maneuver large, awkward, or heavy parts.
Set up and maintain machines.
Check and inspect operations against predetermined tolerances.Essential Skills
Ability to measure with calipers; micrometer knowledge is a plus.
Average math skills and simple oral communication skills.
Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and complete simple logs and reports.
Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in a fast-paced industrial setting preferred.
Physical ability to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.
Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with company policies.
Consistent standing for an entire shift.
Teamwork and collaboration skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Machine operating skills including drilling, tapping, coating, painting, grinding, sanding, assembly, polishing, and metal finishing.
Experience with tools such as micrometer, caliper, saw, tape measure, and band saw.Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing environment which can be loud, operating on the 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, California.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
