Job Title: Maintenance Operator

Job Description

As a Maintenance Operator, you will contribute to the manufacturing process by maintaining and operating machines. Using your technical knowledge, you will be responsible for making repairs as well as monitoring the safety and quality of the equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate various types of equipment, including but not limited to high-speed press, assembly, metal stamping, injection molding, and packaging equipment.

Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.

Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.

Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using various tools.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Troubleshoot issues with the equipment and perform maintenance and repairs as necessary.

Responsible for safety, quality, and production.Essential Skills

Manufacturing machine operation and troubleshooting.

Mechanical and technical adjustments for machine set-ups, product changeovers, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.

Troubleshooting and fixing minor breakdowns and quality issues.

Part repair and replacement.

Hand and power tools.

Ability to handle product and components up to 90% of the shift for performing quality inspections.

Basic knowledge of mathematics and ability to read and write.

Ability to walk, stand, stoop, or bend up to 100% of shift.

Troubleshooting and mechanical skills.

Experience in conveyor installation, assembly, pneumatics, hydraulics, gears, drives, and pneumatic cylinders.Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of mechanical experience.

Blueprint reading.

Use of hand tools to repair and run fast-paced production machinery.

Experience in SAP, preventative/corrective maintenance, HMI, mechanical repair, production, hydraulics, machine setup, preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, changeover, and machine setup.

Ability to work with 3+ operations, coating has 6 areas.

85% operations and 15% preventative/reactive maintenance.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, with some areas climate-controlled. Shift premiums are offered for evening shifts. The company has a great culture, with most management having been there for over 20 years. Personal protective equipment required includes steel toes, ear protection, eye protection, long pants, and safety gear.

Job Type & Location

This is a 6-month contract position based out of Cleveland, TN with some potential to get hired in permanently, but there's a good chance it'll just be a temporary contract.

Pay: $20-$24.50/hr, depending on experience

Shifts: days - 7:00am to roughly 7:30pm

nights - 7:00pm to roughly 7:30am

Schedule: 2-2-3

Weekly Hours: 36+ hrs one week, then 48+ hrs the next

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.50/hr.
