General Maintenance Technician I - Helper

Job Description

Volt is immediately hiring Maintenance Technician in New Albany, OH.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting higher level technicians in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive maintenance on the buildings and facilities equipment, fixtures, and systems in a manufacturing environment.

Assists the team with a variety of facility maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance.

Assists co-workers in diagnosing malfunctions in production machinery and equipment.

Assists the team with maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting systems and equipment such as overhead door systems, pumps, piping, seals and valves.

Performs general maintenance such as painting and sign hanging.

Troubleshoots and repair basic electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues.

Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tag-out procedures and wearing PPE as required.

Operates a variety of equipment, including hand tools

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.

1 year of experience performing facility maintenance in a data center, heavy industrial, hospital, pharmaceutical/ biomedical environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.

Can work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher

This is a Full-Time, Contract opportunity.

Schedule: 1st Shift

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: New Albany, OH

Pay Rate: $30 to $32 per hour on W2.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
