FPGA Design Engineer – 5G Wireless Systems

El Segundo, CA 90245 (On-site)

A leading innovator in O-RAN compliant Remote Radio Heads for cellular infrastructure and private networks is seeking a skilled FPGA Design Engineer to join its digital design team in El Segundo, CA.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Define FPGA requirements and system architecture for 5G Radio Units in collaboration with System Engineering

Design, implement, and verify FPGA modules for 10G/25G/50G Ethernet, eCPRI, O-RAN, signal processing, and embedded processor systems

Maintain and enhance FPGA-based Radio Unit test platforms used for validation and development

Collaborate with global software and hardware teams to support product bring-up, integration, and validation

Key Technologies:

IEEE 802.3 Ethernet, eCPRI, O-RAN CUS&M-plane, 3GPP 5G NR, 4G LTE, 2G GSM, NB-IoT

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field

Strong background in digital FPGA design for telecom or signal processing

Proficiency in VHDL and FPGA development workflows

Effective in global collaboration and working across international teams
