Job Title: Soldering Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Soldering Technician, where you will work in a small department on an assembly line, soldering wire to a PCB or control board of the end product. These products include headphones, walkie-talkies, adapters, and noise-cancelling headsets for military and government use. This position involves sitting down for most of the day and requires repetitive, detail-oriented work.

Responsibilities

Solder wires to PCBs or control boards in an assembly line setting.

Work on products such as headphones and military communication equipment.

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Perform quality audits and manufacturing inspections.

Utilize microscopes and other tools for precision soldering.

Crimp and assemble mechanical and electrical components.Essential Skills

Proven soldering experience.

Experience reading schematics from a computer.

Computer literacy for accessing and interpreting schematics.

IPC Certification is required; active certification must be shown.

Ability to work the person over 50 hours, including weekends when needed.

High school diploma.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in electrical and electronic assembly.

Knowledge of surface mount and thru-hole soldering techniques.

Mechanical assembly skills.

Understanding of electronic circuits and electrical wiring.

Available Shift & Pay

1st shift: 6:15am - 3:15pm

2nd shift: 3:15pm - 10:15pm

At this time, OT is mandated, typically 10 hour shifts + some weekends

$20 - $22 based on experience

Work Environment

This role is based in a production environment focusing on military and other industry products. The workstation involves nearly 100% sitting down, reading blueprints, and soldering wires, with some soldering tasks being highly detailed. Shift hours are 6:15am - 3:15pm for the first shift and 3:15pm - 10:15pm for the second shift. Be prepared to work the person typically 10-hour shifts and some weekends.

This position is based out of the Park 100 area of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
