3rd Shift Mold Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mold Supervisor to lead and manage a production crew of approximately 15-20 workers. You will play a crucial role in promoting a safety culture, achieving production goals, and applying lean manufacturing best practices to drive continuous improvement. Your collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams will be essential in optimizing equipment performance and reliability. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delegating work assignments to ensure adherence to production schedules, while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in records and reports.
Responsibilities
Promote our safety culture and ensure completion of safety talks and contacts.
Lead, manage, and train a crew of approximately 15-20 production workers.
Ensure production goals related to yield, throughput, and quality are met or exceeded.
Apply lean manufacturing best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Partner effectively with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and assist with LEAN projects, including 5S.
Plan, organize, and delegate work assignments to adhere to production schedules.
Produce quality products by following and enforcing established SOPs, work instructions, and policies in line with ISO quality standards.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of records and reports.
Promote continuous improvement in all areas of the department, encouraging employee involvement and team concepts.
Assist with determining departmental needs and maintaining equipment.
Perform start-ups and troubleshooting of tools, presses, and processes.
Participate in job development training, including cross-training and team development.Essential Skills
Associates degree in business or related field and/or 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
Proficiency in Word and Excel.
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and other process improvement processes.
Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting experience.
Experience working with hand tools, blueprints, and measuring instruments.
Ability to hear machine operation sounds that may indicate issues or changes in routine running conditions.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
This role operates on the 3rd shift in a facility specializing in large, multi-nozzle plastic products. The plant is equipped with a significant amount of automation, providing a dynamic and technologically advanced work environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Butler, Indiana.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
