Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Call Center Representative to join our pain management practice. This position is the first point of contact for patients and is essential in delivering excellent customer service, scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and supporting the clinical team. The ideal candidate is empathetic, organized, and has strong communication skills.Key Responsibilities:
Answer high volume inbound calls in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Provide information about the practice’s services, policies, and procedures.
Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary pre-visit information.
Triage calls and route messages appropriately to clinical staff or providers.
Handle patient concerns and escalate complex issues to management when necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Follow HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical call center or healthcare office preferred.
Familiarity with pain management terminology and practices is a plus.
Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Athenahealth, NextGen, or similar) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Empathetic, patient-centered approach to care.
