Job Description
We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. You will read and interpret blueprints and welding prints to fabricate and modify parts, ensuring they meet specifications and tolerances. Your role will involve working with MIG welding machines, overhead cranes, and various hand tools to produce high-quality parts ready for assembly and painting.
Responsibilities
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Read and interpret blueprints, welding prints, and other drawings.
Select and align parts from laser cutting/press brake operations according to specifications.
Weld parts to specific tolerances.
Modify or redesign existing parts if necessary.
Sand, grind, buff, taper, or tap fabricated parts to meet drawing specifications.
Design and build fixtures and jigs for welding and assembly operations.
Set up and operate MIG welding machines.
Operate overhead cranes and use various hand tools including saws, shears, drills, and grinders.
Prepare fabricated parts for painting and visually inspect each part before painting.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.Essential Skills
Experience in MIG welding.
Familiarity with the metric system.
Ability to read blueprints.
Knowledgeable of weld shrinkage factors and various welding techniques.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Sanding experience is a plus.
Must successfully pass an entry-level test

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
