Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated machine operator to efficiently manage the operations of a paper rewinding machine and assist with packaging line activities. The role involves ensuring quality control of finished products and maintaining clear documentation and communication across shifts.

Responsibilities

Operate a paper rewinding machine and assist with packaging line operations.

Document and communicate all changes during your shift to the incoming worker.

Perform quality control tests on all finished products before and during packaging.

Set up the machine using the production schedule to select correct paper rolls or products for rewinding or processing.

Adjust machine tolerances and speed of the rewinder after each production run.

Load new paper rolls onto the machine.

Ensure assistant operators have clear expectations and assist in machine operations, packaging, and material handling.

Troubleshoot any issues that arise during operations.Essential Skills

Experience as a machine operator.

Ability to set up and change over machines.

Knowledge in adjusting machine tolerances and speeds.

Proficiency in operating forklifts.

Troubleshooting skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to stand on feet for up to 12 hours.

Capability to work effectively in a team environment.

Forklift experience is a plus.

Excellent communication skills for coordination with assistant operators and material handlers.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, well-lit production facility equipped with safety guards around all moving machines. Employees are required to follow designated walkways marked on the floor. Provided PPE includes eye glasses and ear plugs to ensure safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
