Summary: The Administrative Assistant for the Special Education program will play a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions of our Special Education department. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Special Education program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Previous experience in an administrative support role, preferably in an educational or Special Education setting.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with database management.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to Special Education is a plus.
Knowledge of CT-SEDS platform
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
