The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:

Option 1\:

48 mos. trg. or 48 mos. exp. in delivery of employment & training related government programs, community or private industry human resource programs

AND 24 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques

AND 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in managerial principles/techniques.

Or Option 2:

12 mos. exp. as ODJFS Program Administrator 1, 64291 with the State of Ohio.

Or Option 3:

Completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, social science or human resource management

AND 24 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques

AND 24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in managerial principles/techniques.

Or Option 4:

Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Necessary Skills:

Data Analysis

Policy Implementation and Analysis

Basic Math Skills

Pay Information

This position is in the State of Ohio’s E1 Pay Schedule, Pay Range 16. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $45.45 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.

The Office of Family Assistance

This position is located in the Office of Family Assistance (OFA). OFA oversees cash and food assistance programs and work support programs for recipients of cash and food assistance. Learn more about the office by visiting the Office of Family Assistance webpage.

What You’ll Do

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Bureau of Program Integrity. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Supervise a team of 6 managers

Review regular quality control and other evaluation reports

Provide the oversight and leadership of Electronic Benefit fraud efforts and initiatives with the partnership of internal and external stakeholders

Develop county best practices

Monitor and review county statistics and analyze trends

Monitor statistics to assess training needs

Review current processes for efficiency and develop and implement new approaches

Schedule\: Monday - Friday, 8\:00am - 5\:00pm. This position works in-office five (5) days per week).

Travel: Travel required, as needed. Must provide own transportation or, in order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid driver license.
