3 yrs. exp. in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation), with experience to be commensurate with project/program &/or position description on file (e.g., specific human service program area, management information sciences, fiscal); 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.

-Or successful completion of 2 yrs. post-secondary education majoring in business administration, public administration, computer science/information technology, social science, or health, with major being commensurate with project to be assigned; 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a project management professional to be part of the Project Delivery Team within ODM’s PMO. The Project Delivery Team supports ODM Fiscal, Legislative, and Policy initiatives, as well as other ODM projects. This position will manage the State Directed Payments (SDP) Administration Project. The SDP Administration Project will define and develop Standard Operational Processes and a technical solution to assist ODM in managing a large number of Directed Payments made to healthcare entities. As the SDP Administration Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

identifying and managing projects from initiation to completion including managing scope, timeline, budget, resources, documentation, and solutions while aligning project outcomes to support agency goals, initiatives, and values

identifying, facilitating, and contributing to activities for project completion

facilitating and contributing to the development of scope, planning, communications, reporting, policy, budget, requirements, technical, and testing documentation and solutions

identifying and managing project tasks, risks, issues, action items, and decisions

leading cross-department teams composed of ODM’s leadership team, subject manager experts (SMEs), other members of the PMO, and/or external vendors and participants

managing external vendor activities and deliverables

serving as the agency liaison and working collaboratively with stakeholders (e.g., Medicaid departments, vendors, contractors, and health related organizations) to develop Medicaid projects

developing project documents for scope, plan, and execution of projects (e.g., definition, verification, timeline, and development)

contributing to the ODM PMO’s body of knowledge
