We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Leader to spearhead a dedicated team of software engineers. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the Observability Integrations roadmap that seamlessly combines scalable automation and security across a multi-hybrid cloud environment to support Fidelity's observability platform.
As the Platform Squad Lead, your primary responsibility includes the creation, maintenance, and support of enterprise-scale observability platform integrations, particularly with SaaS solutions like Datadog. Additionally, you will oversee the development and support of observability platform solutions utilizing an open-source stack, including Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
The Expertise You Bring
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technology-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) is required.
Proven hands-on engineering and coding experience.
Extensive expertise in managing and administering the Datadog SaaS platform, with a strong focus on platform governance, agent fleet management, and financial operations.
Significant experience in enabling, maintaining, and advancing observability platforms for complex technology stacks across large enterprises.
Experience in designing and building highly scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient observability platforms using technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Node Blackbox Exporter, and Kubernetes.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with a proven ability to guide engineering teams in delivering robust solutions.
A strategic, forward-thinking mindset that enables recognition and connection of patterns for enhancing and simplifying the platform.
Expertise in observability technologies and practices, with a strong foundation in engineering and continuous delivery principles.
Understanding of various observability approaches and the ability to apply them when appropriate; experience with Synthetics and Real User Monitoring (Browser & Mobile) is beneficial.
A thorough understanding of developing security measures in public cloud environments.
A solid grasp of IT services and IT service management in an enterprise setting, including cloud delivery models such as IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS; automation; containerization; auto-scaling; virtual compute, storage, networking; and identity and access management.
