Position: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Laradon fosters a collaborative, team environment; working on-site in Denver, CO

Schedule: 8 am-4 pm, M-F. This position is a full calendar year.

Starting Salary Range: *$65,000-$81,250 annually.

*The stated starting salary pay range for this position is meant to reflect a range of where a typical entry level candidate would start and is not meant to be all inclusive. Additional education and experience may result in a starting pay outside of the stated range.*

As a Speech-Language Pathologist you will be a valuable asset to Laradon’s mission by providing assessment, intervention and consultation to program staff and children with special needs in a day treatment center in the areas of language, articulation, voice, fluency, feeding and swallowing, assistive technology and augmentative/alternative communication.

No day is ever alike but you can generally look forward to the following responsibilities:

Participate in the administration of speech and language assessments and screenings.

Participate with the interdisciplinary team in the development of the IEP.

Maintain the files and appropriate paperwork for designated caseload.

Facilitate and monitor activities in keeping with the IEP goals and objectives for designated caseload.

Provide consultation and support to classroom staff, as needed.

Provide consultation and direct instruction for identified students.

Assist students to choose and acquire augmentative communication devices.

Schedule and conduct individual and group therapy sessions.

Drive participants as necessary for program needs.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

As Laradon is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative, team environment, employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.

We ask that you bring the following assets to our workplace:

Masters in Speech-Language Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)

Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered

Colorado Department of Education License

Experience in working with school aged children.

Valid driving license, good driving record, and reliable transportation. Must have the ability to drive.

Picture Exchange Communication System trained, preferred.

Ability to demonstrate patience, flexibility, strong communication skills and positive attitude.

Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force; physical condition to enable walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; stamina to be on feet and active for full workdays; ability to speak or exchange information in an audible manner.
