New Student Programs Job Description
Reporting to the director of Undergraduate Admissions, this position within the Division of Enrollment Management will lead and manage the office of New Student Programs (NSP) that includes 2 full-time staff members and multiple student workers. The manager will be responsible for coordinating orientation and onboarding programming for incoming students, fostering relationships with campus and non-campus entities, and developing, measuring, and analyzing data to improve programs and services.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop, coordinate and direct student orientation and onboarding programming for incoming freshmen and transfer students
Assist the Director of Admissions in the recruitment, development, transition, yield, and retention of new students and in the administration of programs supporting these efforts
Utilize Slate customer relationship management platform to design, create, and monitor electronic communications for incoming students and their families
Manage department communications portfolio and drip marketing campaigns
Manage online orientation and annual updates
Foster partnerships with faculty, staff, students, and off-campus community
Develop, measure, and analyze data to improve programs and services
Serve as departmental technology manager
Supervise two 100% FTE staff members and multiple student workers
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Two or more years in higher education, event planning, marketing, or other highly interactive promotional field
Strong organizational skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, and excellent interpersonal skills
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $52,223-$57,472.80 annually.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
