We're looking for a local candidate to join our client's team as a Design Drafter.
If you've got hands-on drafting experience, strong CAD skills, and a background in utilities (especially power generation) this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What you'll be doing:
Creating, updating, and maintaining technical drawings (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) for a power station
Drafting P&IDs, one-line diagrams, station prints, and construction drawings
Translating designer/engineer sketches into detailed plans using MicroStation and AutoCAD
Managing documentation using both manual drafting techniques and CAD software
Working with cross-functional teams to verify technical data and ensure drawing accuracy
Supporting records management and issuing original documents as needed
What we're looking for:
3+ years of design drafting experience in utilities or industrial environments
Proficiency in CADD software, especially MicroStation and AutoCAD
Experience interpreting construction estimates, diagrams, and technical documents
Solid math skills and ability to perform basic calculations
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Clear verbal and written communication and ability to thrive in team settings
Preferred:
Electrical drafting experience (Civil/Mechanical experience also considered)
Associate degree in Drafting/Design
Strong PC skills, including MS Word and Excel
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Interviews via Microsoft Teams (camera on)
