CTG is seeking to fill an Enterprise Architect - Cloud opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Location: Buffalo, NY

Duration: 6 months

Overview:

Drive M&T Bank’s transition from on-premises infrastructure to a hybrid cloud environment.

Design and implement secure, scalable, and compliant Azure-based cloud architectures.

Align cloud solutions with regulatory standards and strategic business goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Define and refine the roadmap for hybrid cloud adoption.

Design high-level and detailed architecture for Azure and hybrid systems.

Lead implementation teams to deliver cloud projects effectively.

Act as a liaison between internal teams and third-party providers.

Ensure regulatory compliance and security adherence in all solutions.

Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to senior stakeholders.

Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Deliver cloud transition roadmaps, architectural designs, and compliance reports.

Develop stakeholder presentations and implementation plans.

Monitor and optimize performance and cost of cloud solutions.

Collaborate with security, IT, and business units to integrate new technologies.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

May lead and mentor cloud architects and technical implementation staff.

Oversee third-party engagement and enforce SLAs in hybrid environments.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with 3+ focused on Azure hybrid environments.

Experience in regulated industries, particularly financial services.

Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.

Education and Experience Preferred:

Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator, Cloud Service Manager, DevOps Engineer.

Knowledge of colocation providers and hybrid data center operations.

Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform, ARM), and Azure DevOps.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
