Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer – Microsoft .NET Stack opening for our client in Philadelphia, PA.

Location: Philadelphia, PA or Wilmington, DE

Duration: 7 months

Duties:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performing applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.

Implement cloud-native solutions using Azure Function Apps, especially with durable functions.

Utilize Azure services including Application Insights, Key Vault, Storage Account, API Management, and App Registration.

Develop and manage APIs using Open API specifications and RESTful services.

Integrate solutions with Kafka for efficient messaging and data streaming.

Follow secure development practices and ensure code security and compliance.

Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) using .NET unit testing frameworks such as MoQ.

Monitor application performance and telemetry proactively using Azure Application Insights.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes.

Employ Dependency Injection and maintain loosely coupled architecture.

Skills:

Proficiency in C# (.NET and .NET Core)

Hands-on experience with Azure Function Apps (Durable Functions preferred)

Knowledge of Application Insights, Key Vault, Storage Account, and API Management

Experience in integrating with Kafka

Strong understanding of JSON, RESTful APIs, and Open API specifications

GitHub for version control

Experience in DevOps environments with CI/CD

Familiarity with secure development practices

Effective use of Dependency Injection frameworks

TDD using .NET Unit Testing and MoQ frameworks

Performance and telemetry monitoring using Azure Application Insights

Experience:

Proven track record of application development using Microsoft .NET stack

Prior experience working in cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure

Demonstrated experience in DevOps and agile methodologies

Background in building secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based applications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
