Oracle Work Management Module Lead (Oracle WACS)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS) Consultant to serve as the Work Management Module Lead. This individual will be instrumental in designing, configuring, and optimizing work management solutions within Oracle WACS to support field service and maintenance operations for a utility client.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Oracle WACS (specifically Work Management components), a strong understanding of the utilities industry (electric, gas, or water), and proven experience with work order lifecycle design, scheduling, dispatch, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Work Management Process Design:
Lead workshops to define and document end-to-end work order processes (creation, scheduling, execution, close-out)
Translate business needs into system requirements, user stories, and functional specifications
Oracle WACS Configuration:
Configure WACS modules: work types, crews, service requests, job steps, SLAs, priority codes, task dependencies
Build task templates and work hierarchies for preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance workflows
System Integration & Data Management:
Collaborate with integration teams (GIS, ERP, SCADA) to support seamless data exchange
Ensure data accuracy for work orders, crews, assets, resources, and cost management
Testing & Deployment:
Develop and execute test cases across functional, integration, and UAT phases
Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues, ensuring quality assurance and user satisfaction
Training & Support:
Support user training efforts and create documentation to facilitate end-user adoption
Provide ongoing functional support for post-implementation
Must-Have Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
US Citizen or Green Card holder
Location: Must be local to San Antonio, TX or willing to relocate; hybrid work model
Experience:
5 - 7 years of relevant experience in Oracle WACS or similar EAM platforms
Proven history of configuring and deploying Oracle WACS Work Management modules (Work Orders, Task Templates, Crews, Dispatch, etc.)
Deep understanding of utilities industry field operations – including regulatory, compliance, and maintenance planning
Strong command of work order lifecycle management and scheduling best practices
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Integration experience with ERP, GIS, SCADA, and other utility systems
Agile or hybrid delivery model experience, including participation in iterative design and sprint planning
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, functional specification creation, and user support
Experience with tools like Maximo, Oracle ERP, or CIS in a utility setting
Key Competencies:

Clear communication across technical and business teams
Experience leading stakeholder workshops
