As Assistant Superintendent, you are responsible for assisting with daily operations of assigned construction projects. In this role you ensure the work is completed according to the project’s planned sequence and schedule; implement and enforce field safety, site cleanliness and project organization; along with monitoring subcontractors. You report progress to Superintendents and/or Project Managers. From time-to-time you will be performing some physical aspects of construction. You are the connector from the field to the Operations Staff. This position reports to the General Superintendent, or their designee and is expected to apply industry knowledge and expertise to carry out responsibilities effectively.
What are the Key Objectives:
Receive assignments from Project Superintendents as it applies to project requirements.
Responsible to monitor and maintain safety standards by the field and trade contractors alike
Oversee on-site safety program for ECS – setting the expectations, auditing, and recording information continuously for safety concerns, correcting, compliance, and communication
Ensure safe and clean job sites are maintained on an on-going basis
Supervise, communicate, and coordinate installation of work in accordance with the contract documents, project schedule and the planned sequence of work. Awareness of project milestone dates and the requirements to achieve them
Supervise activities of subcontractors against the schedule
Monitor daily activities and compile reports on progress, compliance, and obstacles
Quality control compliance by inspect completed and in-progress work in accordance with plans and specifications
Driving the project to on-time and on-budget turn-over
Host clients and owners, on the job site, and answer questions that arise in conjunction with the Project Manager
Assist with developing best practices based on industry knowledge and company needs
Perform other duties as assigned

What You Offer:
Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience, preferred, or graduate of trade school in construction
2+ years of field experience in commercial construction, preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes, including scheduling
OSHA 30, preferred
OSHA 10 required
