Principal Engineer - Electrical

Job Description

Hazen is seeking a qualified and experienced Principal Electrical Engineer for a variety of water-related assignments. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of electrical power, lighting, and motor control system design and analysis for water, wastewater, reuse, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

Integrating with design team from initial studies and conceptual design through construction of substation, generators, pump stations, and/or treatment facilities.

Field investigations and site visits from design through construction.

Electrical systems design and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

5 – 15 years’ experience

Professional Engineering license in NY

Self-starter with attention to detail

Candidate must possess excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Must be proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

BIM/CADD and other software (ETAP, SKM, etc.) skills are a plus.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology (MS or MEng Preferred)
