Location: Austin, TX (Junior roles) / Remote (Mid-Senior)

Salary: $60,000 - $150,000 + Equity

About the Role

Join a fast-growing real estate technology startup as a Backend Engineer and help build robust, scalable APIs that power solutions for property investors, vendors, tenants, and operations teams.

You'll be a key member of a tight-knit engineering team, responsible for building clean, minimal, and maintainable backend services. This role involves close collaboration with Frontend, Design, and Product teams to solve massively scalable challenges in real estate sales, leasing, accounting, and maintenance coordination.

Technical Requirements:

1-6 years of software development experience

Strong backend experience with Java on AWS

Extensive knowledge of data structures and algorithms

Experience with concurrent programming and multi-core optimization

Proven debugging and performance optimization skills

Comfort working in high-growth, fast-paced startup environments

CS degree from top-tier university (MIT, Stanford, CMU, Ivies) preferred

Process: Peer code reviews, whiteboarding sessions
