Your Impact:

As the QA/QC Manager, you will be vital in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and compliance of all land surveying operations. You will be responsible for establishing and managing quality control systems that uphold regulatory and client standards across both fieldwork and office deliverables. Your contributions will directly impact data integrity, project outcomes, and client satisfaction while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery.

Core Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive QA/QC policies tailored to land surveying practices, including field procedures, data processing, and final deliverables.

Review and verify the accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance of survey deliverables such as plats, legal descriptions, CAD files, and GIS data.

Implemented and managed structured audit programs for field and office teams, providing feedback and corrective action plans.

Train staff on evolving quality standards, best practices, and updated regulations or survey technologies.

Collaborate with project managers and field crews to proactively identify and resolve quality concerns.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, industry standards (e.g., ALTA/NSPS), and client-specific requirements.

Lead investigations of non-conformities, performing root cause analysis, and establishing preventive measures.

Support integration of advanced technologies (e.g., GNSS, UAVs, LiDAR, 3D scanning) to enhance quality and operational efficiency.

Monitor performance metrics and champion continuous improvement efforts.

Conducted and reported on internal and external QA/QC audits, managing findings and follow-up actions.

Core Experience

Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) strongly preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of land surveying experience, with at least 3 years in a QA/QC or leadership role.

Deep understanding of survey methods, legal frameworks, and quality assurance practices.

Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, Trimble Business Center, GIS platforms, and GNSS/RTK equipment.

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Demonstrated success in developing and implementing quality systems in technical environments.

At Pearce, we are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. This position is non-exempt, and the base pay range is based on experience, skills, certifications, and location. Employees in this role are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

In addition to hourly wages, employees may also be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation. Base Pay Range

$80,000—$120,000 USD
