Safety Manager
Since 1963, Sheakley has been a leader in safety management outsourcing. We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support our client at a cement facility in Miami, FL. If you're a proactive safety professional with a strong background in above-ground mining and construction safety, this is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Position Details
Location: Miami, FL
Duration: 4-6 Weeks
Start Date: August 4, 2025
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation
Day Shift: $50/hour
Night Shift: $52/hour
Overtime: Paid after 40 hours
Per Diem: $125/day (7 days per week)
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Schedule
Shifts: Day and Night
Days: Monday through Saturday
Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM
Expected Weekly Hours: 70+
Project Scope
The Safety Manager will oversee outage work at a cement facility, including:
Pipe Fitting
Welding
HVAC
Confined Space Entry
Fall Protection
Qualifications
Experience:
Above-ground mining safety experience preferred
5+ years of construction safety experience
Certifications (Required):
MSHA Part 46
MSHA New Miner Training (if you do not have MSHA 46)-
OSHA 510
Responsibilities
Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
Provide safety training as needed
Monitor worksite activities and enforce safety procedures
Review and manage safety documentation and contractor correspondence
Perform additional EHS-related tasks as appropriate
Skills and Knowledge
Strong public speaking and communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
OSHA outreach training experience is a plus
Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information
Deep understanding of EHS and construction industry regulatory standards
