Volt is immediately hiring a Snowflake Database Analyst in San Diego, CA.
As a Snowflake Database Analyst you will: Be responsible for managing and optimizing the performance, security, and reliability of databases within the Snowflake Data Cloud platform.
This will be supporting the database backend of Snowflake.
Database Administration and Management: Manage and administer Snowflake databases and warehouses for multiple environments, ensuring high performance, availability, and security Security Management: Implement and maintain database security by creating roles, users, and managing access controls Disaster Recovery: Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability Maintenance Tasks: Plan and execute database maintenance tasks, including backups, updates, and performance tuning This is a full time, contingent opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have: College or university degree required Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and conceptualization skills At least 3 years of experience in Snowflake database administration, including real working experiences in Snowflake DBA best practices and development Proficiency in ETL processes, SQL, and scripting languages such as Python, Shell Script, or PySpark Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and optimize database performance Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences Other Desirable Qualifications: Certifications: Snowflake certification or relevant cloud certifications.
Additional Skills: Familiarity with other data management tools and platforms such as Matillion, Tableau, Power BI, Informatica, and Cognos Pay Rate: $40/hour- $52/hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
