Drive Innovation in a Leading Paper Manufacturing Facility A leading paper manufacturing company in Calais, Maine is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to support and enhance operations at our facility.
This role requires a technically proficient professional to manage both current and future electrical and control systems, ensuring maximum efficiency, safety, and reliability in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities: · Provide technical expertise and support for all electrical and control systems within the facility · Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including a 50 MW power distribution system, steam turbine generators, and hydro generators · Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex electrical and control system issues · Maintain detailed electrical documentation, data records, and schematics · Work collaboratively with engineering and maintenance teams while also managing tasks independently · Oversee project development from planning through execution · Recommend and implement new technologies to enhance operational performance Technical Skills & Competencies: · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD · In-depth knowledge of AC & DC drives and drive systems · Experience with PLCs, DCS systems, and industrial networking · Strong understanding of switchgear, motor controls, protective relaying, and power systems · Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley, Reliance, Foxboro, and Honeywell (especially Honeywell TDC3000) equipment · Effective multitasking and time management skills in a fast-paced environment · Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology · 3–5 years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting · Demonstrated success in electrical design, troubleshooting, system modifications, and project management · Willingness to travel occasionally as needed · Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with operational procedures Join a well-established team in the paper manufacturing industry and help drive innovation and reliability in our Calais, Maine facility.
