Job Title: Finance Project Manager Location: Little Rock, AR Department: Finance Reports To: VP Finance Operations Job Summary We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Finance Project Manager to lead and execute high-impact initiatives across the organization.
This role is responsible for overseeing the financial planning, tracking, and reporting of key projects while coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
This role requires exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple interdependent projects, navigate ambiguity, and drive stakeholder alignment across business and technical teams.
The ideal candidate has strong finance expertise, exceptional project management capabilities, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end project management of finance-focused initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, financial systems implementation, and cost optimization efforts.
Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, budgets, and KPIs.
Analyze project financials to ensure alignment with business goals and financial targets.
Prepare and deliver financial project updates, reports, dashboards and overall program health to leadership and stakeholders.
Collaborate with finance, operations, IT, and business units to gather requirements and coordinate execution.
Identify risks and opportunities while proactively managing project issues and scope changes.
Lead teams to create financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory standards throughout project execution.
Align program objectives with organizational strategy and drive measurable outcomes.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across sales, IT, operations, finance, and leadership teams.
Identify, assess, and mitigate program-level risks and dependencies early.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and transparency across teams.
Act as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders, delivering clear and concise updates.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
5–10 years of experience in financial project management, preferably in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana). Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.
Proven ability to lead large-scale initiatives with multiple stakeholders and moving parts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Experience with risk management, budgeting, and reporting frameworks.
High emotional intelligence and leadership presence.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and manage details simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications PMP, PRINCE2, or other recognized project management certification.
Experience with financial transformation or finance systems implementation.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Experience in Telecommunications or Saas.
Background in product, finance, or business operations a plus.
