Responsibilities
This is an onsite, in-person position located at: 5738 CR 4 Bishop, Texas 78343
The Associate Operator in Production works in a team with 4 other operators.
This is a 12-hour rotating shift schedule with required overtime, which will include weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
Maintain optimum control, efficiency and safety of the unit and equipment by monitoring and evaluating process variables and sample results
Expected to utilize and comply with the Celanese Work Processes, Standard Work Practices (SWPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Actively participates in equipment maintenance by conducting routine rounds/inspections, troubleshooting, writing notifications, preparing equipment for maintenance and executing the permitting process
Must maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and company standards to ensure safety, health, and environmental excellence. Must actively promote a strong safety culture
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Participate and maintain a team-oriented work environment for the safe operation and maintenance of the unit
Strong work ethic
Desire to excel and achieve results
Strong troubleshooting skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts with required overtime (will include weekends and holidays)

Previous chemical manufacturing operations experience (Polymerization, distillation, tank farm, lab, Honeywell DCS)
Education – Two years of college training or vocational-technical school with a strong knowledge of mathematics and chemistry
Previous Leadership experience
Interest in serving on the Emergency Response Team
Root cause analysis skills
Previous mechanical and technical experience
