Landscape Gardener
RiverWoods Exeter is currently hiring for seasonal Gardeners to join our Landscape Team! This is a Part Time seasonal position running from now through September working 20 hours a week
RiverWoods Exeter sits on a 200-plus acre campus and is home to the RiverWoods Exeter Arboretum with over 220 different species of trees and fantastic trails and gardens.
The Landscape Gardener is responsible for assisting in the design, upkeep, and general maintenance of fine gardening and plant scape beds and areas.
We are looking for team members who will bring their best selves and specialty skills to our organization. Along with a “can do” attitude, we anticipate you being able to pivot and fill whatever role is needed to create a safe and caring environment for our residents and fellow teammates.

Employee meal program Responsibilities:
Ability to work unsupervised, either alone or with others, and make responsible decisions when needed
Ability to communicate effectively and keep a variety of tasks organized and delivered on-time
Ability to use basic hand tools and small power tools as needed
Ability to perform basic and advanced gardening skills including:
Identifying plants
Weeding garden beds
Removing spent flowers and foliage from perennials, annuals & bulbs
Dividing spring, summer, and fall-blooming perennials as necessary
Pruning dead, diseased or damaged vegetation
Planting new plants and bulbs
Removing diseased plants if necessary
Removing insects, manually
Cutting back dead perennial vegetation
Clearing away leaves and other debris from garden beds
Watering as necessary
Shoveling, moving and applying mulch, compost, and loam as necessary
Defining and redefining garden bed edges
Ability to complete uncomplicated work orders independently
Experience with relevant computer programs and electronic devices Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in the field
Valid driver’s license
Training and/or industry certification(s) in landscaping or horticulture is preferred
