About the role:
The Partner Development position implements programs to ensure effective partnerships with specific local, state and federal government entities including -- the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division (ADOT MVD) and the Arizona State Legislature.
ADOT MVD includes the Authorized Third Parties (ATP) and Donate Life Arizona/Donor Network of Arizona relationship, and the work would also include ADOT MVD employee training, communication, data reporting, onsite displays, site visitation, DonateLifeAZ registry performance assessment, troubleshooting, coordinating events and recognition. The position works with ADOT MVD personnel to implement nationally recognized best practices that increase donor designation and is accountable for increasing the percentage of MVD customers who register as organ and tissue donors through the DonateLifeAZ Registry.
Work with the Arizona State Legislature would include collaboration with legal and policy affairs at Donor Network of Arizona as well as our designated advocates to forge key relationships to promote donation in the state.
Job Duties:
Builds and maintains relationships with key ADOT MVD stakeholders.
Facilitates monthly communication about donation to identified stakeholders.
Coordinates frequent meetings, trainings and donation education per year to promote donation.
2. Develops and maintains relationships with key Arizona governmental partners.
Identifies possibilities to work with executive branch, agency officials, and legislators regarding donation in their districts, workplace or other opportunities.
Works with DNA legal and policy affairs, DNA governmental advocates, and Community Engagement and Communications team to increase donation registration avenues.
Tracks state and national legislation pertaining to organ and tissue donation.
Serves as key lead at Donate Life Day at the Capitol for legislator contact and strategy.
Collaborates on other events to promote a donation-friendly environment within the government.
3. Develops and disseminates information to ADOT MVD employees.
Coordinates distribution of ADOT MVD Connection, DNA-produced newsletter for ADOT MVD employees.
Develops and disseminates written information about ADOT MVD in newsletters, newspapers and presentations regarding donor registries.
4. Creates and implements a training program for ADOT MVD office staff.
Coordinates visits to each ADOT MVD by a representative of DNA at least once per year.
5. Increases DNA volunteer efforts through the MVD Ambassador program to increase outreach, education and visibility at ADOT MVD office.
6. Monitors and maximizes Donate Life Arizona’s visibility in ADOT MVD offices, including but not limited to promotional and marketing material.
7. Works with ADOT MVD staff to secure quarterly data necessary for proper measurement of program effectiveness.
Assists in establishing goals and objectives necessary to increasing donor designation rate through ADOT MVD.
8. Creates and leads events specifically for ADOT MVD offices:
National Donor Day
Blue and Green Day
ADOT MVD Saves Lives Month
9. Is an active and supportive member of the Community Engagement and Communications department.
Presents for Donor Network of Arizona and/or Donate Life Arizona.
Focuses on project improvements and developments.
Data driven and knowledgeable about donation.
Collaborates with and/or mentors others on projects and events. (Mentorship is specific to Level III – Specialist)
Encourages donation registration.
Effectively communicates and maintains professionalism.
Achieves individual and department goals.
10. Carries out other duties as assigned by the director, Community Engagement and Communications.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Experience
1 – 3 Years
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Relevant work experience may be substituted for academic requirements.
Preferred Experience
3 – 5 years in a related field
