LTC Language Solutions is looking for skilled, freelance, contract American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter in the Chicago, IL area.

Here is what you get to do:

Provide high-quality, in-person sign language interpretation at various client locations in and around Chicago, Illinois. Opportunity for virtual assignments as well.

Accurately interpret in various medical and community settings.

Ensure language access is provided.

Provide excellent customer service.

Choose your own assignments for interpretation.

Strong understanding of sign language and Deaf culture.

Requirements

Interpreting certifications, preferred

Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience preferred

Minimum of 1-2 years of interpreting experience required

Ability to keep accurate records

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in American Sign Language (preferred)

2+ years of ASL interpreting experience

Passionate about providing language access

NIC certification or higher (preferred)

Follow RID Interpreter Code of Ethics

Comply with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA.

This is a 1099, contract, freelance sign language interpreter position. You will work as needed and choose your own assignments.
