Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Babbitt Casting Expert to step into an influential role within our manufacturing process, applying babbitt to raw materials with accuracy and skill. Familiarity with various casting techniques and molten metal applications is key to a successful career here.
Core Responsibilities:
Cleaning and dismantling fluid film bearings
Performing grit blasting
Prepping spin casting equipment
Employing static and spin casting techniques for babbitt application
Ideal Candidate Skillset:
Experience with foundry or casting machinery and resources
Basic knowledge of material science relating to metals
Proficient in TIG welding
Fabrication skills
Adroit in the use of acetylene torches
Comprises understanding of furnace and melting pot operations
Ability to handle overhead cranes
Expert in understanding technical routings, drawings, and processing guides
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication translator
Independent working capability
Work Conditions:
Indoor casting foundry conditions involving hot work
Routine lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Necessitates frequent stooping, bending, crawling, and reaching
Competent in engaging with complex data and detail-oriented communication
