KOMAN Eco Services, LLC is seeking a career-oriented Project Scientist to support our Department of Defense contracts at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia.
The Project Scientist will lead various environmental and ergonomic projects and will also serve as a mentor and resource for junior scientists and technicians in the field. Additionally, the Environmental Scientist will prepare reports and analytical materials related to the assigned projects.

Essential Duties:
Serves as a scientific or technical resource on tasks related to environmental projects or projects in the areas of testing and evaluation, or ergonomics.
Coordinates and reviews work of junior scientists and technicians working as a project team; has ability and expertise, resulting from progressive experience in a particular scientific field or specialty; serves as technical specialist for an assigned area of responsibility.
Helps prepare briefings and backup materials that senior scientists use in client and agency meetings.
Responsible for supporting the development of technical/cost proposals
Supports Senior Technical staff in maintaining client relationships
Support compliance and contractual requirements of technical deliverables
Procurement of support equipment, materials, laboratories, and subcontractors in collaboration with the Project Manager and Senior Technical staff.
Work to obtain favorable feedback/CPARS ratings
Assist project close-out as appropriate
Mentors junior technical staff
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in science, biology, or a related field is required
5-10 years experience working as a bio/health scientist
Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
Current OSHA 40-hour training for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) and current OSHA 8-hour Refresher HAZWOPER training.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
