Job Description

Summary of Position:

As a Product Quality Analyst- Home Internet Gateway you will be responsible for end-to-end (E2E) customer experience testing of Home Internet gateway hardware, with an emphasis on mesh access point (AP) functionality and stability.

Essential Functions:

Validate hardware and firmware performance across real-world scenarios

Identify issues affecting connectivity, throughput, roaming, and user experience

Create test plans based on business and functional requirements

Create test cases to client specifications

Manual test case execution

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to ensure high-quality, reliable mesh networking performance for end users

Troubleshoot issues experienced during testing

Creation, management, and triage of defects

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science

2+ years of experience as a Product Quality Analyst

Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Proven experience as a Product Quality Analyst or similar role

Knowledge of quality assurance and testing tools and procedures

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively with a team

Knowledge of industry regulations and standards

Comprehension and understanding of requirements for testing

Ability to have strong attention to detail to be able to accomplish a wide variety of tasks
