Job Description

CNC Mill Operator & Programmer - 2nd Shift - Up to $30/hr - Brighton, MI

Precision Meets Independence – Bring Your Mastercam Skills to the Table!

Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, including large bridge mills and horizontal mills with pallet changers

Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and blueprints

Design and build fixtures and work-holding solutions

Optimize cutting parameters for accuracy and efficiency

Program conversational controllers (Mazak experience is a strong plus)

Perform quality checks to ensure components meet tight tolerances, including 0.0005" over long lengths

Operate with a high degree of independence and initiative in a job shop setting

Qualifications/Skills:

Minimum 8 years of CNC milling experience, including setup and programming

At least 5 years working in a job shop environment

Proficient in Mastercam (required)

Experience with horizontal and bridge mills, including pallet changers and large vertical mills

Conversational programming experience (Mazak preferred)

Ability to multitask and manage multiple machines efficiently

Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities

Comfortable working 2nd shift in a hands-on, high-precision industrial environment
