Project Manager
Location: Travel Required Based in U.S.
Division: Heavy Civil (Underground Utilities & Site Development)
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: $95,000 - $120,000 Annually
About the Role
Timberline Construction Group is seeking a skilled Civil Project Manager to lead complex heavy civil construction projects across the U.S., with a focus on underground utilities and full-site development. This position plays a key leadership role, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and budget alignment from start to finish.
What You'll Do
Manage all phases of civil projects: preconstruction through closeout
Lead on-site operations for utility installations (water, sewer, storm, drainage) and site development
Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, clients, and municipal stakeholders
Drive adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, and owner billing
Identify constructability issues and ensure resolution in real time
Prepare accurate cost projections and track performance metrics
Maintain detailed project documentation and ensure smooth closeouts
Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative team environment
Required:
5+ years of civil project management experience
Proven success with underground utilities and site development
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Preferred:
Experience with HCSS HeavyJob and Bluebeam
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Knowledge of municipal permitting and utility regulations
