Job Description
Industry is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining commercial fire alarm and suppression systems to ensure compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm and suppression systems in commercial properties.
Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor repairs on fire alarm systems.
Ensure all inspections meet NFPA, state, and local codes and regulations.
Complete detailed inspection reports and document findings accurately.
Provide recommendations for necessary repairs or upgrades.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding inspection results.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while on-site.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred but not required).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm inspection and testing.
Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire codes.
Ability to use testing equipment and diagnostic tools for fire alarm systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete documentation accurately.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening.Preferred Skills:
Experience with various fire alarm panel manufacturers.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
