POSITION: Coordinator of Student Conduct & Academic Support
DEPARTMENT: University Advising Center
REPORTS TO: Managing Director, University Advising Center
WORK SCHEDULE: Fully on-campus position
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred.
2-4 years experience in student affairs and/or academic advising
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To help manage and ensure the accuracy and efficacy of all aspects of the University's non-academic student conduct system; deliver alcohol and drug education/programming to various University constituents; and assist with academic advising and student support needs.DUTIES:
Review incident, behavioral, and Public Safety reports daily in consultation with the Managing Director of the University Advising Center (UAC).
Assign cases for adjudication and ensure all cases are resolved within an appropriate time frame.
Generate, prepare, and edit all correspondence related to the University's non-academic student conduct system for the Managing Director of the UAC.
Help manage, design, and implement automated/on-line processes associated with the student conduct system (Maxient).
Help manage the Drug and Alcohol Education Program at the University.
Assist in serving as the liaison to the campus community in matters dealing with non-academic student conduct, including but not limited to, Public Safety, Student Affairs, Student Life, Academic Affairs, Athletics, and the Office of Title IX.
Conduct research and maintain up-to-date material on higher education and university student conduct policies, procedures, and laws.
Help plan, coordinate, and implement the training of all student and professional staff related to the University's student conduct systems and processes, including training associates related to all higher education acts.
Assist with writing, editing, and updating all University publications related to the Office of Student Conduct, including the annual Student Handbook.
Prepare, analyze, and maintain statistical information associated with the University's student conduct system and generate weekly reports and other reports as needed.
Maintain the confidentiality of all conduct records in accordance with FERPA as well as stipulations set forth in the Student Code of Conduct.
Coordinate all online content, ensuring accuracy of information, associated with Student Conduct.
Serve as a floating academic advisor to assist undergraduate on-ground students when their assigned academic advisor is unavailable, such as during leave/vacation, or at times of turnover, and when there are peak times.
Support the Director of Student Success with various retention efforts.
Assist with training and onboarding of staff in the Tutoring and Writing Centers.
Assist with the University's Foundations for Success summer program by preparing incoming students for the experience, providing support during the program, executing events during the program, and evaluating its impact after completion.
Perform other related duties and services as assigned by the Managing Director of the UAC.
