Job Description
A growing firm located in the Pennsauken, New Jersey area is looking to staff a thorough, Sr. Accounting Manager with construction experience. This role will be responsible for leading the accounting and financial integration of newly acquired entities, developing financial growth strategies, maintaining the general ledger, managing the payroll process, implementing internal controls, assisting with tax activities, preparing financial statements, and coordinating the annual budget process. We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager with solid tax compliance and reporting skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong understanding of GAAP standards, and the capacity to multi-task while meeting crucial deadlines.
What you get to work on daily
· Lead accounting integration for acquired entities
· Review and analyze purchase agreements to identify accounting implications
· Collaborate with external valuation firms and auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting
· Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidation adjustments
· Develop and implement internal controls
· Assist with the preparation of financial statements and footnote disclosures
· Track and measure KPIs for areas of improvement
· Support ad hoc projects, including system upgrades, audit requests and M& A modeling
The ideal Sr Accounting Mgr (Acquisitions) will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Sr Accounting Mgr (Acquisitions) role include and are not limited to:
· 8+ years of M& A Integration
· Experience in a Public company working in adherence to SOX preferred
· Construction or related industry preferred
· Excellent communication skills
